International Volunteer Day is marked globally on 5 December every year, and in December this is usually done by helping disadvantaged families with children with food, gifts and clothing or by organising Christmas events for unprivileged families.
For vulnerable children, Christmas is anything but magical. No stockings. No presents. No festive food – maybe no food at all.

In Norway, you can help children and families through the ‘Reversed Santa’ (Omvendt julenisse) initiative. What is the similar initiative called in the UK?
