Your consent automatically applies to the DNV Imatis mobile portal by using our service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect your phone number related to your DNV Imatis profile or account.

USAGE DATA

 Usage Data is collected automatically when using the service. 

We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, which part of the application you use, crash logs, the type of mobile internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. 

Collected usage data is used for reporting, troubleshoot issues, updates and to enhance the service. 

DEVICE DATA

The device used to access the service will periodically send device status to DNV Imatis’ backend server to inform that the device is available and as a push message fallback mechanism.

MESSAGE DATA
When you send or receive messages using our Services, we store your messages and other related information in archive tables to provide these services to you.

DATA STORED

1. Data stored on your device

While using the app, we store certain data locally on your device to ensure the app functions correctly. This includes:

  • Authentication data (used to keep you logged in)
  • App settings
  • Worklist if the app is used in offline mode
  • Log data related to app performance and usage
Deletion of locally stored data
  • When you log out of the app, all authentication data is immediately removed from your device.
  • When you delete the app local data is automatically deleted.

2. Data stored on our servers

During use, certain types of information are stored on our servers so the app can provide its core functionality. This includes:

  • Chat messages
  • Work items
  • Favorite contacts
  • Device identification

This server‑stored data remains available to you across sessions and devices.

Deletion of server‑stored data

Deleting the app does not remove the data stored on the server.

If you want chat messages, work items, or favorite contacts removed from the server, you must contact your organization’s server‑responsible administrator or support contact. They can process or approve deletion according to your internal policies.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

We do not collect any cookies in our Mobile Portal, but we do collect user analytics to get an overview over how our functionality is used. We use this data to improve the functionality in the Mobile Portal. The analytics data does not contain any users specific information.  

2. HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

As a general policy, we only use the information we collect for providing the service to you and your employer. We do not sell or rent information about you or your employer to third party organisations. 

3. RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

DNV Imatis is required to retain your user to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. 

The company will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods. 

4. TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your information, including personal data, is processed at the company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. 

Your consent to this privacy policy represents your agreement to that transfer. 

DNV Imatis will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and no transfer of your personal data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information. 

5. HOW WE PROTECT THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Personal data are subject to additional safeguards to ensure this data is processed securely. For example, we work hard to ensure data is encrypted when in transit and storage, and access to this data will be strictly limited to a minimum number of individuals and subject to confidentiality commitments. We employ security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorised access.
