Helge Halvorsen Monstad appointed CEO of DNV Imatis
Monstad will lead DNV Imatis’ continued international expansion.
Helge Halvorsen Monstad has taken up the role of Chief Executive Officer at DNV Imatis. He has held senior leadership roles in the Nordic health technology sector for many years, most recently at Tietoevry Care. His appointment follows DNV’s recent acquisition of the remaining shares in the company, making it the sole owner.
Building on 35 years of collaboration with healthcare services
DNV Imatis develops digital solutions that give health and care services better real-time visibility and support the coordination of patient flow, clinical workflows, internal communication and support services.
Monstad highlights the need to create stronger connections between the technology, information and workflows already in place across health and care services.
– Pressure on staffing and capacity is increasing the need for effective coordination of patient flow, tasks and resources. Health and care services already have an extensive digital systems landscape. A key priority is to connect systems, information and workflows more effectively, giving healthcare professionals a single real-time view across departments and services. A new phase with DNV as sole owner
DNV, which has been the majority owner of DNV Imatis for five years, recently became the sole owner after acquiring the remaining shares in the company.
Esben Rusås, Acting Chair of the Board, DNV Accelerator, believes Monstad’s combination of sector knowledge, leadership experience and expertise in international business development will be important to the company’s future.
– Helge has extensive experience in health technology, organisational development and international business development. He has led organisations through growth and change, and his leadership style is characterised by trust, collaboration and clear communication. This makes him well equipped to lead DNV Imatis as the company continues its international expansion, says Esben.
Extensive experience in the health technology sector
Monstad joins DNV Imatis from his most recent role as Head of Special Products & Consulting at Tietoevry Care, where he was responsible for a Nordic organisation delivering specialised health technology solutions and consultancy services.
He previously co-founded Exonor Group, a digital health consultancy that later became part of EVRY, where he was also a partner. He has also held senior leadership positions at EVRY Healthcare and Siemens Health Services in Norway.
In these roles, Monstad worked closely with healthcare providers and public-sector organisations across several markets. He also has a background in the armed forces and the police.
